Asha H. Le
Asha is an artist and maker located in Chicago, IL. She graduated with a Bachelor's in Fine Arts at Iowa State University, completing her degree in Integrated Studio Arts with a minor in Illustration in 2024. Imagining the world through her paintings and jewelry creations, she has created a space to awaken our inner children and fill our lives with a little more joy.
My Message:
Early in our upbringing, we are taught how to count – one, two, three, four; mirroring the steady progression of our age. Each year passes, and our world begins to shift. Curiosity and play are replaced by societal pressures and expectations, and we gradually lose the child we were at five, six, seven, and eight. My work, through mediums including painting and clay sculpture, explores the youthful imagination through whimsical scenes and subjects unconfined to do and feel as they like, urging us to reawaken our inner child. I wish to inspire the existence and harmony of being nine, ten, twenty, and thirty, in both frustration and joy.
